Who am I?
I'm a 20-something jane-of-all-trades available for small freelance projects. I live in Chicago. I'm a librarian by training, a writer at heart, and I dabble in many things. I'm very good at replying to emails. You can find me on Twitter @krtierney.
What do I do?
- Photography (Flickr | 500px)
- Audio transcription
- Writing, including science writing
- Editing, with a specialization in medical editing
- Layout design projects, large and small
- Web stuff
- Social media
Am I a good fit for your project?
Maybe! Contact me with some details, and we can discuss it. In general, I work well in roles that allow me to use skills I have, learn new ones, and do a lot of different things. If you're looking for someone to set up an enterprise-level e-commerce system, I'm not the girl for you. If you want someone to research a topic, write a few things on it, and put together a website or publicity plan—and you'd rather have one person do it all than hiring three separate freelancers—I'm probably the right person for the job.
I also tend to be good at completing small, one-off projects quickly and relatively inexpensively. If you have an article you'd like edited, want someone to help you learn to use Facebook, or need someone to transcribe the interview you just recorded, I'd be happy to help.
What else?
- LinkedIn: Social networking for professionals, or professional networking for social people?
